You asked for it...and now it's here!
New extensions to the db ServerRack product line deliver cost reductions for larger data center installations. Secure any and all access points at far lower cost than less-secure proximity solutions!
The original db ServerRack features one biometric fingerprint reader and one electronic lock controller per cabinet. Digitus now offers two great cost-saving options.
db Bus - Cabinet-level biometrics secures a row of cabinets, with one biometric reader for each door and a single controller that operates up to 64 electromechanical locks. A bus architecture distributes control signals and electrical power to each lock, reducing cost by eliminating the need for a controller and IP address at each cabinet.

db Bus - End-of-row biometrics uses the same bus architecture as db Bus - Cabinet-level biometrics, but further reduces cost by replacing on-door readers with an end-of-row fingerprint reader and keypad. Each authorized user scans a fingertip and enters the number of the door to open. By also eliminating the fingerprint reader at each cabinet, db Bus - End-of-row biometrics is the lowest-cost db ServerRack access control solution.

With Digitus' new data center solutions, the price of biometric security ranges from $500 to $1,500 per cabinet, depending on system configuration.
