SAS 70 Level II Compliance

The Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 levels I & II deal with a service organizations responsibility to properly secure the data/information of the customers it deals with.  Traditionally, the recommendations for physical security include access control to sensitive areas of the business including data centers and records rooms.  To achieve SAS 70 compliance, an organization must be able to demonstrate proper access controls, management processes around sensitive customer data/information and an audit trail of who had access to the information.
