Does your company require employees to enter a password on a security system in order to gain access to your building or data centers? If so, this may not be enough to ensure that sensitive areas of your organization are kept safe.

There are constant reminders in the news about just how easy it is for passwords to be compromised. For example, The Los Angeles Times reported that AOL confirmed that the company experienced a major security breach. Hackers were able to steal email addresses, encrypted passwords and encrypted answers to security questions from the accounts of a number of users.

This is a reminder of just how easy it can be for people to gain access to passwords and security questions. Has anyone in your company ever sent an email to an employee containing password information? If so, then a hacker could gain access to it and use it to gain entry into your office. However, hackers can’t steal an employee’s fingerprint, which is why biometric security is the safest way to go.
